Adios Pepe!

Lizette's cousin Manuel jokingly asked me to make him a book for his birthday about a cockroach named Pepe. I didn't have time to do the whole book, so he just got the cover.

Bug Goes Bye Bye!

My daughter just turned two years old. For several months before her birthday she would tell us a story at bedtime about a bug we saw at a restaurant in Uptown Dallas. Keep in mind, this is a story told by a two year old! I decided I would illustrate the story for her and make a book for her birthday present. I can't take any credit for the content (although I did embellish in a couple of places) but I did do the illustrations. I presented the finished book to her on her birthday, and now it is a part of our bedtime routine. It's not my finest work, but I can't say that I've ever felt so good about making art.
